You are visiting a small country in Central America when you happen upon a village that has arrested 15 indigenous people who were protesting against the town’s ill treatment of them. The mayor of the town is getting ready to execute them as an example to others who may be inclined to speak out against the town. When you arrive the Mayor takes you aside and tells you that to celebrate your visit you will be given the honor of shooting the leader of the protesters yourself. If you agree to shoot the leader, as part of the celebration the rest of the protesters will be allowed to go free. If you do not, then there is no celebration and all of the protesters will be executed. Do you shoot the lead protester?
